Gray brocket deer grazing soybeans

Early in the growing season, soybeans fields planted near the forests are avidly grazed by some wild animals,
such as this beautiful gray brocket deer, or "veado-catingueiro" (Mazama gouazoubira).

The gray brocket deer, or veado-catingueiro (Mazama gouazoubira), enjoys grazing tender soybeans seedlings.

This species thrives in this protected forest-crop-pasture ecosystem.

However, it is my sorrowful duty to say that here in Southern Brazil, even today (2018),
there are still some (so-called) human beings (poachers) who like to hunt deers for sport.
